Looking for Alaska by John Green

John Green is becoming one of my favorite authors.  After having my heart torn apart by The Fault in Our Stars, I decided to read the rest of his books and am thoroughly enjoying them!  I'm just glad this one didn't make me cry my eyes out.  I love books that are in the boys perspective and also love that his boys are usually the underdogs, not the overtly gorgeous, 6 pack abed, tousled haired Gods that they are portrayed to be in most YA books (not that there's anything wrong with that, I love those boys too!).

Oh, how I love Kai!  This was way to short!  I wanted it to keep going so I could see what happened to him once he joined the Innovations and the Fleet!

Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was way to angsty for me.  I almost stopped reading it at one point because I did not like where it was going and it was making me mad (I think everyone knows I hate love triangles, mainly because the girl never chooses the right boy).  It had me up until 3:00 in the morning two nights in a row!!  I really, really, really don't like Seth.  And I don't trust him one bit.  I seriously hope that when Alex Awakens, SHE sucks up all HIS power and leaves him an empty shell.  I'm still waiting for Aiden and Alex to figure their stuff out and really hope it happens soon!

Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

First of all, Jennifer L. Armentrout owns me.  She writes the best characters, both female and male and the most exciting stories!  Even though I am totally and completely Team Aiden, Seth did kind of score some points with me near the end.  I can't wait to start Pure!!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

I have been wanting to read this book since it first came out.  I'm glad I finally read it!  Especially that I waited since I only have 2 weeks to wait for the next one.  If I had read it when I first got it that ending would have driven me crazy!!  I can't wait to see what's next for Mara and Noah.  I do love me some Noah Shaw!

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

(4.5 Stars) After passing this book by numerous times in bookstores and the library, I finally bought it for my nook (at the recommendation of my book soul mate) when it was on sale for $2.99.  I have to say it was the best $2.99 I've spent in a while!  While it took me a good 80 or pages to really get sucked into the story but once I did, it was all over for me.  Nothing else would be done until the book was finished.  And that ending?!?  Are you kidding me?!?  Is it January yet?  Oh, and did I forget to mention who much I adore Perry and Aria?  They are one of my new favorite book couples!

I am usually a huge fan of the boys POV in books.  This one not so much.  Kale just seemed very robotic and stiff.  I liked the story, I just wish there was a little more to it.
